Niedersächsischer Landesbetrieb für Wasserwirtschaft, Küsten- und Naturschutz - Lower Saxony Water Management, Coastal Defence and Nature Conservation AgencyMain role in the project:
Conducting a case study located at a section of the Eastfrisian mainland coast by applying C2C approach and focusing on integrated coastal risk management covering the area seaward of the dike to the hinterland. The case study includes a coastal protection system formed of several elements in which a foreland / salt marsh connected to the Wadden Sea as an element of the national park marks one significant part. Knowledge exchange among BwN coastal labs and C5A WP on cocreation of the approach.
Benefit from participating in the C5A project:
Exchange of knowledge, new insights in planning, monitoring and managing measures on a state of the art level, improvements in sustainable future coastal defense schemes and/or integrated strategies with respect to effects of climate change on sea level rise.
