The Conference of Peripheral Maritime Regions (CPMR), the North Sea Commission which is a cooperation platform for regions around the North Sea, has adopted the overview of climate change adaptation. This overview was made by the eight climate change related Interreg North Sea Region projects.

There is an increasing awareness of the ever more rapidly coming changes of our natural conditions. Considerable effort is invested in mitigating the rise of global temperature yet decreasing the speed of change doesn’t prevent change from coming.

The North Sea Commission sees action on climate change adaptation as important as action on climate change mitigation and is working towards a region which is climate ready, adaptable and resilient to climate change.

The CPMR North Sea Commission has adopted the overview of climate change adaptation that was made by the 8 climate change related Interreg NSR projects.
