Being prepared for the effects of climate change

What do Dordrecht, Värmland and the Ringköbingfjord have in common? These are all locations, for which an interdisciplinary group of experts maps out practical, efficient and future-proof solutions to problems caused by climate change.
Rijkswaterstaat is leading this project and recently tested a methodology with the municipality of Dordrecht to conduct conversations from different perspectives.
- As a result of climate change, the North Sea region will face more periods of flooding and drought. 'In addition, there are all kinds of other factors associated with the effects of climate change, says Egon Baldal, himself an ecologist and project leader of the international Cluster for Cloud-to-Coast Climate Change project (C5a).
