NLWKN is the Water Management, coastal Defence and Natura Conservaction Agency and is responsible for strategic coastal protection in Lower Saxony. NLWKN is an authority under the supervision of the Lower Saxony Ministry for the Environment and Climate Protection and a competent advisor for policy as well as for various stakeholders in coastal and water management related issues.General information:

Aim: exchange of knowledge, new insights in planning, monitoring and managing ‘Building with Nature’ measures, especially for sandy coastlines on a state of the art level, improvements in future coastal defense schemes and/or strategies.
