The Benevolent (Rich) Dike coastal lab
The Benevolent (Rich) Dike coastal lab combines specific habitats for seashore organisms with a line-shaped dike as flood defense structure.The habitats are mostly small-scale sized structures in front of the dike in the seawater and/or at its outward slope.The aim is to establish habitats that allow multiple species to spend (part of) their lifecycle at or in the immediate vicinity of the dike. As such, it contributes to local biodiversity.
