[updated] The hackathon has been rescheduled to June 19-21[/updated] Join us in one of the biggest blockchain events worldwide: Odyssey. The Odyssey Hackathon is held annually in Groningen, the Netherlands and provides a new space where everyone (and everything) can become part of a solution to a 21st-century challenge. The challenges that are tackled are complex problems that involve multiple stakeholders and cannot be solved by a single company, industry, or state. They have a global societal and economic impact, and are tied to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs).

This is the fourth edition of the Hackathon, and 105 selected teams will collaborate with corporates, governments, and non-profits to create solutions to how we organise society in the 21st century. The areas where teams can make an impact range from energy transition, logistics, urban infrastructure, healthcare, public safety to nature conservation and digital identity. One of the challenges is, for example, the future of acute healthcare. The demand for acute healthcare is rising, but the capacity is limited. So how can you make the best and efficient use of the available healthcare capacity? This is one of the challenges of the Hackathon.

Are you interested in joining? The team applications will be open from January 20 until February 24. If you want to learn more about the challenges, you can also join the Odyssey Connect event on february 4-5 in The Hague, Netherlands. More information about the Hackathon can be found here.

The event has been rescheduled to June 19-21. Read more about why in this statement by the organisation of the hackathon.
