BICYCLES AND ITS (BITS) at the CIVITAS Forum 2019
BICYCLES AND ITS (BITS) at the CIVITAS Forum 2019 :
Join the Annual CIVITAS Conference to explore some of the best examples of ITS and cycling
BITS will be present at the 17th edition of Europe’s top sustainable urban mobility conference, the CIVITAS Forum, held from 2-4 October 2019 in Graz, Austria. During a 1.5 hours session, we will show how ITS (Intelligent Transport Systems) in cycling can make cycling more attractive and deliver the cycling data that policy makers need, both in cities that already have a high uptake of cycling as well as minor/medium cycling cities. The format of the session will allow participants to provide inputs to speakers and test some of the already running platforms, created for smart cycling in cities.
In the ITS session we work together with three European frontrunners in the world of cycling ITS that will each show their product and discuss it with participants:
- Smart infrastructure: Bicycle parking guidance system (Lumiguide, Netherlands)
- Smart apps: Bikecitizens in Graz (Region of Steiermark and Bike Citizens, Austria)
- Smart bikes: Bikesharing and data (Nextbike, Germany)
The BITS session ‘Bicycles and ITS: Making Cycling Smarter’ will be held on Friday, 4 October from 9:30 – 11:00 at CIVITAS Forum in Graz. The session has a maximum number of participants; participation will be on a first come, first serve basis. If you are interested in more information about BITS, you can also find us at our booth (1st floor, Stand NR. 191) on the forum.
We hope to see you there!
