This page gives information about upcoming events relevant to the BITS project.

-The BITS project will be presented at the 2019 Joint Conference & Exhibition of the Transportation Association Canada and ITS Canada on 22-25 September 2019 in Halifax (Canada).

-The 3rd BITS project meeting will be hosted by the partner East Riding Council of Yorkshire on 24-26 September 2019 in Beverley/UK. On that occasion, it is planned to hold a CYCLING ACADEMY with the topic “Getting started with Cycling”.  The event aims to bring together anyone interested in Smart Cycling and the use of ITS in order to increase the uptake and safety of cycling. Speakers will include partners from across Europe, who will share their experience and good practice, as well as UK companies involved in ITS implementation. 

If you are involved in planning cycling infrastructure, improving safety or just want to learn more about this technology and how it can begin to improve public transport links, health and wellbeing  and influence policy, this event is not to be missed.

-The BITS project will also contribute to the CIVITAS Forum Conference to be held on 2-4 October 2019 in Graz/Austria under the session 'Bicycles and ITS: Making Cycling Smarter' and also have a booth to provide more information to those interested (Stand Nr 191 on the first floor of Conference Graz.

-The BITS project will be presented on Thursday, 3 October 2019 at the annual ITS congress (Bluepoint Brussels) which is the biggest smart mobility event in Belgium under the session 'Bicycle Policy'. The presentation will highlight "The Bicycles and ITS Project – Creating a framework for cycling in smart, connected mobility.”

-The BITS project will have a booth at the Digital Transport Days taking place in Helsinki from 7-9 October 2019. This conference brings together all actors involved  in smart transport solutions.
