Partner background
The TUHH is founded in 1978 and accounts for 7400 students and 675 academic staff. The University has international Master Programs including the Joint European Masters in Environmental Studies, Cities and Sustainability.
An interesting contribution to the BEGIN program is their Institute of River & Coastal Engineering. The institute was founded in 1998 by Prof. Erik Pasche (1955-2010) and currently led by Prof. Peter Fröhle (2012-). The institute contains 16 researchers and provides a broad research expertise in hydrodynamic modelling, urban hydrology, flood risk assessment and management.
