AVATAR - Project partner meeting Hamburg

On May 5, 2022 the 5th AVATAR project partner meeting took place, live in Hamburg. A big relief after 4 online partner meetings! During the partner meeting, focus was on the transnational cooperation by organizing also workshops.

The AVATAR project on highly autonomous vessels and city freight distribution started on 1 May 2020 at a moment when Covid-19 changed a lot of things. Until now, it was not possible to organize a live event with all project partners.

Therefore, we were very delighted to have a live project partner meeting in Hamburg on 5 May 2022. A big relief after 4 online partner meetings!

During the partner meeting, we focused on the transnational cooperation by organizing also workshops. We discussed the tests that will be carried out in several cities with the different vessels and equipment (e.g. sensor boxes and remote control center). The results showed that organizing live events still create an added value for the quality of a project, in combination with the online project meetings.

We also focused on the alignment of the economic assessment exercises in Hamburg and Ghent, not only during the meeting on 5 May 2022, but also during the AVATAR conference in Hamburg (see here and here). Experiences are shared from the transport and energy use cases.
