There are still spots available for the approaching European Cooperation Day webinar. The webinar European Cooperation in a Changing World will be held on 25 September, 10-11 am. In the webinar, MEP Morten Helveg and representatives of the Interreg North Sea Region Programme, Interact and the North Sea Region project TOPSOIL will discuss the recent developments in Europe. The webinar is aimed at university students but everyone is welcome to attend.

MEP Morten Helveg: Interreg and the North Sea region are crucial in achieving climate targets

Danish MEP Morten Helveg Petersen underlines the importance of Interreg programmes and the North Sea region in battling climate change.

"The North Sea is a big and important resource because it can provide enough renewable energy to supply almost all of Europe. Interreg is an important partner, and an important institution, because we need to cooperate across borders," Helveg says.

 


Rolf Johnsen from TOPSOIL: Without Interreg many transnational projects would not take place

Rolf Johnsen from TOPSOIL, a North Sea Region project working with climate adaptation, tells about his experiences with Interreg: "We can really inspire each other to find the best solutions and Interreg has a very special role in this. Without Interreg, many transnational projects would not take place."
