Regional Studies Association spotlights Interreg projects
In their latest e-zine, the Regional Studies Association provides perspective on how regions can best respond to global warming.
Entitled Urban and Regional responses to Climate Emergency, this edition has dedicated a special Regional Insights section to the North Sea Region Programme, highlighted in the editorial.
Four projects have kindly contributed articles to this publication:
- Managing groundwater in a shifting climate by TOPSOIL
- Civic energy - delivering community benefits of climate action by COBEN
- Climate adaptive farming and the potential of saline agriculture by SalFar
- For Peat's sake: The CANAPE project by CANAPE.
Thank you to the four projects for delivering such interesting articles rich in perspective! At the Joint Secretariat, we are very proud to see them featured in this prestigious online publication.
They all explore new ways of reducing the region's emissions or dealing with climate impacts such as floods, droughts, and salinisation of soils. While addressing these major challenges, they also look for smart, cost-effective and future-proof ways to enhance the region's liveability and support the local and regional economies.
