North Sea Conference postponed

18 November 2021 - Published by Anne Sofie Forfang

In light of the rapid surge in the Covid-19 pandemic, the organisers have decided to postpone the North Sea Conference.

The development in the past week has been both fast and severe. Only in the last few days, authorities in several member countries, including the host country of Belgium, have imposed new restrictions and recommendations. This has now led to the decision to postpone the conference. Disappointing as this is, health and safety must come first.

All participants, speakers and panelists have been informed. We are very grateful to have already received many kind and understanding responses.

Rescheduling the conference

We expect to move the conference to the spring of 2022. It will take place in Bruges, and we will announce the new dates as soon as possible.

Upcoming guidance for applicants

The GET READY event scheduled for 25 November was designed to support applicants in the first call for proposals in the future programme. We are now planning a short webinar on 2 December instead. We will also offer to book consultations with the project advisors and enable you to find partners by posting your project idea on our website.

If you are looking to apply, please watch this space for further news.

See you later

We cannot wait to finally bring the conference to life in the spring. Until then, we hope to see many applicants soon joining our online events and consultations.

A big thank you to both our co-organisers, speakers and participants for being super flexible and constructive!
