Funding available for new projects
Around 65% of the available North Sea Region Programme funding has been allocated by now, but this does by no means imply small chances of having your project funded.
Available funds include €55.9 million in European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) funding and €2.1 million in Norwegian funding. In other words, there is plenty of funding left to support new, forward-looking, high-quality projects in the North Sea Region.
The North Sea Region Programme offers 50% financing of your total project budget. Funding is available for projects that fall into one of our four priority themes. Below, you can see the allocations so far and the level of funds that remain available for each priority theme.
Submit your expression of interest in Call 8
Our next call for expressions of interest is open until 12 October and we advise you to take this opportunity to obtain funding for your project idea.
Submitting an expression of interest is quite straightforward and requires a limited amount of work. It also constitutes the mandatory first step in our two-step application process: If your expression of interest is approved, you will be able to move on to a full application.
The benefit of the two-step approach is that once your core project concept has been approved at the expression of interest stage, your final application stands a better chance of success. In 2017, the success rate of full applications was 51%.
How to apply
Kick-start your application process by simply creating an account in our Online Monitoring System and starting to enter the contents into the online form. You can save your draft as you go along.
