School building managers exchange experiences on financing energy saving measures and optimising technical installations

Which possibilities are there to finance large energy saving measures?

How can you optimise your technical installations to reduce emissions and energy usage?

On February 28th the School Building Managers in the province of Antwerp exchanged their experiences and learn from each other, when they gathered for the 2nd time in participating school Het Spoor in Mol.

They talked about subsidies, crowdfunding, optimising heating installations and maintenance of technical installations in order to reduce the energy use. Everybody present was keen to hear how others work and picked up ideas from each other.

Financing the measures continues to be one of the most difficult issues in the decision making process. One of the problems in finding funds is the fact that it takes a lot of effort and time to apply for a subsidy or start a crowdfunding, without being sure to get (enough) financing. Time to do this is one of the things, next to finances, the schools lack.

This subject will definitely come up again in future network gatherings.
