2IMPREZS is pleased to announce that our project has been nominated for the EU-level 2019 Interreg Project Slam, an EU competition within the annual European Week of Cities and Regions in Brussels.

This 2019 Interreg Project Slam! contest, hosted by the Interact Programme, is an official part of the EU's top annual Cohesion Policy event, the EU Week of Regions and Cities, which takes place in Brussels every October. This year, the Project Slam is expected to be bigger and better than ever, with projects from Interreg programmes signing up in record numbers!

The goal of the Interreg Project Slam session is to "promote innovative communication approaches related to capitalisation of Interreg results by presenting high impact Interreg projects in an entertaining and easy way".

2IMPREZS has secured a spot as being one of the 8 finalist projects appearing on stage at EU Regions Week in October 2019 out of nearly 40 submissions received from across the whole Interreg community. 2IMPREZS, alongside the other 7 impressive finalists, will be showcased at the grand finale in Brussels this October. Madeline Langlois of 2IMPREZS partner, the European Institute for Innovation (EIfI), will represent the 2IMPREZS project with the help of a few outstanding Belgian pupils from local 2IMPREZS pilot schools. The audience at the European event will be able to vote for their favourite performance and participants will be given awards.

The theme of the 2019 Interreg Project Slam is ‘’Future of the EU and the roles of the Regions and Cities’’. Submissions have come in from all across Europe and from Interreg cross -border, transnational and inter-regional programmes and have covered all the themes of Regions Week. A panel of experts in communication and capitalisation in Interreg have reviewed the applications and have nominated the 8 project finalists.

The Interreg Project Slam grand finale will take place in the Square in Brussels during the EU Regions Week in October 2019.

The social media competition will begin in August and voting will be open until the end of September. All votes will be cast by Liking videos on Facebook, so please make sure to watch our 2IMPREZS Facebook page!
